From a young age Simon has had formal lessons in guitar, piano, drums and vocals. Patient and encouraging, he has developed a wealth of knowledge through his extensive studies and musical career playing in many bands of vastly differing genres. Kim HumphreysGuitar - Acoustic/Electric

Kim has been teaching guitar for the past thirty years and has played professionally for a number of musicans including; Tuna Turnerm Vanda & Young, and The Bee Gee's. Kim has also toured with major acts such as Bo Diddley and The Kinks. He has a love for music and this is particularly evident within his lessons.

Michael BradleyGuitar - Acoustic/Electric

Michael's experience writing and performing music allows him to be able to teach almost any genre of music. He has studied both guitar and vocals at the Central Coast Conservatorium of Music as well as the Australian Institute of Music. Michael is an enthusiastic teacher who strives to push his students into being the best that they can be.

Dimitri VourosPiano, Flute, Clarinet & Saxophone

Dimitri has had formal training on the piano, clarinet, saxophone and flute at the Canberra School of Music and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and holds a Graduate Diploma of Education from the University of New England. His wide range of musical skills make him a strong teacher and player, with a huge knowledge base.

John is respected by Upbeat as both a player and a luthier. His precision and accuracy in his work has helped revive, repair and 'reliven' many guitars over the years. If your guitar isn't feeling as good as it used to, please bring the guitar into Upbeat Music Centre for John to work on it. The guitar won't leave John's work bench until it is playing like a guitar John would use on stage.
